- Hotel Luna (check discounted rates)
Touted as the “the first and only museum hotel in the Philippines,” it is the place to visit for anyone interested in Filipino artists. The mini museum displays the work of contemporary as well as master artists, including Juan Luna and BenCab. The hotel itself is appropriately a period piece, worthy of a four-star rating as hotels go, and the service and food are excellent. The focus is not so much on amenities as for the historic experience, but it is all good considering the location in the middle of Heritage Village!
If you want a feel of the Spanish era and don’t mind spending a bit more, this is a good place to feel it. Clients consistently give this hotel 4.5 out of 5 stars for the décor, cleanliness, friendly service, and excellent food. The most common complaint is the prices and occasional loss of power. Very young children and pets may not be a good idea.
